Justine Michel is microbiology advisor at Medecins Sans Frontieres, currently based in New York. She completed technical biological analysis university degree in France. Justine first worked in the marine biology research field before to work as microbiology laboratory technician in Necker children hospital in Paris during 6 years. Since 2016, she is working with MSF; from Microbiology manager mission at project level to Microbiology regional referent in Middle East based in Jordan during 2 years. Since 2019, Justine oversees microbiology diagnosis access in MSF in multiple projects ranging from acute trauma and reconstructive surgery in the middle east, to pediatric sepsis in west Africa.  She works with colleagues focused on Infection Prevention and Control, antimicrobial stewardship and pharmacy, to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to antimicrobial resistance in these contexts.
