Giles is the General Counsel and Chief Development Officer at nexfibre.  He leads on legal and regulatory policy as well as corporate development and M&A strategy.  He led nexfibre's recent acquisition of the FTTH assets of Upp in partnership with Virgin Media O2.

Previously Giles worked at Liberty Global where he was at the forefront of more than £75 billion of telecoms consolidation across Europe, including the £31 billion combination of Virgin Media and O2. 

Giles has had a varied career in legal and business roles, including a stint running a boatyard in Suffolk.
