Amerigo Garofano, VP Telecom, EMEA, Sitetracker

Amerigo Garofano, an Italian by nationality, has spent more than 30 years in the international Telecommunications industry, experiencing and contributing to the transformation and digitalization of fixed and mobile networks.  

He started his career during the mid-80s in the Ericsson software development division, participating in the digitalization of fixed network telephony systems by working in ETSI standardization bodies and adopting digital subscribers signalling systems for various markets (Australia, Sweden, France, Germany, Italy). With the rise of Mobile Telephony during the 90s, he has moved to more techno-commercial roles leading, for more than two decades, various regional sales teams and capturing leading market shares for Ericsson in South-East Europe and France with innovative solutions both in mobile networks and fibre network deployment for smart cities, including managed services business. During his last period at Ericsson, he covered a global sales and business development role aiming to the transformation and introduction of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning capabilities into Network Services portfolio and leading market adoption worldwide.

Amerigo recently joined Sitetracker, one of the fastest-growing companies in the telecom industry, as VP Telecom for EMEA. Sitetracker is the global leader in deployment, operations, maintenance, and asset management for leading telecommunication service providers, tower companies, network infrastructure vendors and local service delivery companies. He is carrying on Sitetracker business growth ambitions and faster adoption in the Telecommunication EMEA market.
