Dr. Mehtab Khan | Assistant Professor
University of the West of Scotland

Mehtab Khan is an Assistant Professor at the University of the West of Scotland (UWS), London Campus. She leads and coordinates the Change Management and Leadership module within the MSc Project Management programme. Before entering academia, Dr Khan developed her strategic expertise while working as a strategist for an HMRC-affiliated organisation. She was recently appointed Chair of the Governors at Oxhey Wood Primary School. Dr Khan also champions employability initiatives for MSc Project Management students, helping them develop successful career pathways.

She was awarded a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) by UWS in November 2021. Her specialist interests include business research, strategic planning, and project leadership. She is currently involved in research projects aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3, 12, and 13.

In October 2025, she chaired a panel discussion titled “Redefining Career Success for Women in Project Leadership” at the APM WiPM Conference. She also hosted and chaired the APM London Network event “International Men's Day: Breaking the Silence – Embracing Vulnerability and Mental Resilience in Project Management for Men's Well-Being” in November 2025.

Her achievements include being shortlisted for the Best Lecturer of the Year Award in April 2026, promotion to Assistant Professor in 2024, winning the UWS Crucible research competition in 2023, and receiving a nomination for the Best Lecturer of the Year Award in 2022.

In her role, Dr Khan teaches a diverse international student community and collaborates with a multidisciplinary academic team at UWS. This rich environment reinforces her commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), enabling her to connect meaningfully with colleagues and students from a wide range of backgrounds.
