David Tomalin, Group Chief Technology Officer, Cityfibre

David has over 30 years’ experience working within well-known vendor and network provider organisations. As CityFibre’s Group Chief Technology Officer, David is responsible for the selection and evolution of the company’s powered network technology assets as well as AI driven working practices and new implementations.   David joined CityFibre from Ciena where, as CTO for Europe, the Middle East and Africa he was responsible for leveraging Ciena's technology and operational leadership to enable partner success and drive Ciena’s regional business reputation and growth.    Prior to this he was CTO at euNetworks, where he was responsible for technology selection, platform lifecycle and network integration. Prior to that, European Director of Engineering at Level 3 Communications, where he delivered IP, Transport and CDN networks, with a focus on maximising cost efficiency and commercial opportunity.
