NICC Standards Limited is an independent organisation owned and run by its members; often working at the behest of Ofcom. It is a technical forum for the UK communications sector that develops interoperability standards for public communications networks and services in the UK. NICC develops UK standards only when international standards cannot be used or adopted for use in the UK. NICC members (including vendors, operators and government bodies) have implemented these standards in the UK for more than three decades.
