JJ McGrath, Owner/CEO, Tekwav

With a corporate background of IT management for multiple manufacturing companies (building from scratch IT systems and implementing million dollar Enterprise Resource Planning software solutions) for almost 20 years, JJ created a new IT consultant company. Out of that company, demand grew for dependable and reliable internet service in rural areas. In 2012 TekWav began its journey of delivering internet service to many underserved and unserved Grayson and Fannin County Texas area residents. Armed with over 25+ years experience in the technology industry, strong work ethic, ability to understand the big picture, JJ has positioned TekWav for accelerated growth. This continuous strong demand has been achieved from just client referrals. JJ currently serves as the Texas State Representative for the Wireless Internet Service Provider Association (WISPA) and serves as the Chairmen of Government Relations. JJ is a past recipient of the Sherman Chamber of Commerce’s annual “Small Business of the Year” award. TekWav is a top provider of Fixed Wireless Internet Services in Grayson and Fannin County Texas. We have over 12 years in the business with currently over 2000+ subscribers and growing daily.  We know and understand the Internet Services industry and technology, and our mission is to put our expertise to work in providing internet service in the unserved and underserved locations. Our corporate office is based in Sherman, Texas.  TekWav is a FCC RDOF (Rural Digital Opportunity Fund) Awardee doing gigabit fiber as well as an Emergency Connectivity Fund (ECF) recipient with a partnership with the Pottsboro Library.
