SENIOR EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, INFRASTRUCTURE STRATEGY Chris has been with NoaNet since 2001. As Strategic Executive Director of Infrastructure Strategy, he delivers on network growth and expansion, strategic planning, network development, digital equity, and broadband planning for emerging public benefit networks. Chris has acted as department head for many of NoaNet’s critical functions, including Network Operations and Engineering, Outside Plant Construction, Network Operations Center, Professional Services, and Community Outreach. Chris provides the technical knowledge and overall management of NoaNet’s Broadband and Digital Equity Outreach program for community stakeholders, state and local government, and regional broadband programs. He was the executive director of the NoaNet BTOP construction build-out and sets the architectural direction of the network throughout the state. Before NoaNet, Chris served 12 years in the armed forces.
The American Association of Public Broadband is hosting pre-conference sessions bringing together experienced leaders from around the county on starting and building public networks. These three sessions will help anyone thinking about or moving towards building a community-owned network better understand what is needed and how to get going.
