Dr. Fengbo Ren is the founder and CEO of Fovus, an AI-powered, serverless high-performance computing (HPC) platform for enterprises. Beyond entrepreneurship, Dr. Ren is a distinguished researcher and educator in computer engineering, with expertise spanning HPC, machine learning, and energy-efficient computing systems. He previously served as an Associate Professor at Arizona State University (ASU), where he led pioneering research to optimize computing architectures for greater performance, scalability, and energy efficiency. His contributions have advanced the development of high-efficiency hardware and software systems for artificial intelligence (AI) and data-intensive applications. Dr. Ren earned both his M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He has authored numerous high-impact research papers and received several prestigious awards and grants, including the Google Faculty Research Award and the National Science Foundation (NSF) CAREER Award. With more than a decade of R&D experience at the intersection of HPC, AI, and systems, Dr. Ren combines deep domain expertise with entrepreneurial vision to lead Fovus in shaping the future of HPC—and democratizing access to these powerful technologies for enterprises worldwide.
