I am an experienced Informatics and Information Management professional, with an established track record of delivery in the BioPharma industry. This includes Research, Biopharmaceutical and Clinical Informatics as well as Knowledge and Information Management for the whole of R&D and supporting functions. Having spent 4 years building our Scientific Data Foundation and aligning it with impactful Therapy Area delivery of tools and infrastructure, I am now building on these interests as Head of Data Standards, Interoperability and Governance in the R&D Data Office in AstraZeneca. I am applying a data centric approach to defining, implementing and utilising Master and Reference Data to populate a foundational FAIR data layer for R&D and the Enterprise that will enable more efficient application build and maintenance and support the integration of datasets into integrated data products. With responsibility for improving data governance for R&D, I bring together traditional data management approaches with semantic interoperability.
