Max is a Principal at Breakthrough Energy Ventures, where he drives BEV’s work in sustainable liquid fuels. Breakthrough Energy Ventures (BEV), founded by Bill Gates in 2016, invests in early-stage ventures that develop innovative technologies to drive the world’s transition to affordable, reliable, abundant and clean energy. Prior to joining BEV, Max was at Bain&Company. He holds a Civil Engineering in Energy Sciences degree from KU Leuven in Belgium and Imperial College London, and an MBA from Harvard Business School
