John Kwaak, Founder & Managing Partner, Zero Infinity Partners

John is the Founder and Managing Partner of Zero Infinity Partners (“ZIP”), a NYC-based infra-tech investor backing early-stage companies driving innovation in global infrastructure.   Over his career, John has worked across a wide range of sectors – including energy, power, transportation, logistics, waste, water, and communications – and across the full asset lifecycle, from incubation and venture to buyouts, take-privates, carve-outs, and distressed situations.   He previously worked at Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners, where he served as the Americas Head of Transportation, and at Fortress Investment Group, focusing on greenfield energy development. Earlier in his career, he was an investment banker at Evercore Partners, advising on transactions in their infrastructure, technology, and restructuring groups.   John began his professional journey as an officer in the Republic of Korea Air Force, serving in a unit responsible for contingency logistics planning for wartime and national emergencies.   He holds a A.B. in Government from Harvard College and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
