Jean-Cedric Meeus, Chief Global Transport and Logistics (end to end), UNICEF

Jean-Cedric Meeus serves as the Global Chief of Transport and Logistics at UNICEF, overseeing the end-to-end supply chain for all programmatic supplies. With a career spanning over three decades, he has dedicated himself to enhancing humanitarian supply chains, beginning with his work in various NGOs and joining UNICEF in 2001. At UNICEF, Jean-Cedric has held pivotal roles across the globe, including Supply Emergency Response Officer at NYHQ, Chief Emergency Supply Manager in Copenhagen, Regional Supply Chain Manager for the Western and Central Africa Regional Office in Dakar, and his current leadership position in Copenhagen. Notably, he was recently seconded to the Gaza UN Special Envoy as a Supply Chain Advisor, further showcasing his expertise in crisis settings.
Before UNICEF, Jean-Cedric spent 9 years with MSF, serving as a Supply and Program Technical Specialist in diverse countries. His extensive experience includes leading supply chain teams and emergency operations in numerous global humanitarian crises and development programs, ensuring the delivery of various essential live saving commodities from origin to beneficiaries.
A creative leader, Jean-Cedric is committed to driving innovation in humanitarian aid delivery. By leveraging partnerships across humanitarian and private sector networks, he influences and implements practical, transformative solutions to optimize supply chain efficiency. His relentless pursuit of new challenges and his strategic oversight have significantly advanced UNICEF’s mission and supported government programs worldwide, delivering life-saving assistance to those in need.
