Capt. George Kamal is a distinguished aviation executive with 29 years of progressive leadership spanning the Middle East and African Aviation markets. Rising through the ranks from frontline operations to the C-Suite, Dr. Kamal has successfully led strategic and operational transformation in more than four airlines, delivering sustainable growth, enhanced performance and industry recognition.

As Ag. Group Managing Director and CEO of Kenya Airways PLC, the national carrier of the Republic of Kenya, he oversees the full operational strategy, performance systems, and regulatory integration for the airline. Under his leadership, the airline continues to align with global aviation standards while advancing safety, efficiency, and service innovation. 

Capt. Kamal holds a Doctorate in Business Administration from ESC Clermont School of Business, where he focused on 'Navigating Aviation Industry Economical Evolution and Transformation: Integrating Sustainability, Post pandemic recovery and impact of of LCC within Aviation Continent'. He also earned a Master of Science in Aviation Management - Transformation in the Digital Age from the London Metropolitan University, strengthening his expertise in innovation, digitisation and future-ready aviation systems.

Capt. Kamal was recently voted for & named among the Top 10 Transformational Deputies, MDs, COOs, and VPs of the year 2025 by The Governance & Business Board. The recognition honors his ability to lead with vision, precision, and the impact in challenging and complex markets. Known for his disciplined leadership and people-first philosophy, Capt Kamal drives cross-functional performance, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence across every organisation he leaders. His current focus includes embedding a performance culture, modernising core systems, financial restructuring and strengthening regional connectivity. Beyond his executive role, Capt.
