David Millard is the Founder and CEO of Azalea Robotics, backed by Vantage Futures, Zero Infinity Partners, and Y Combinator to build robotic systems to solve baggage handling. A roboticist and software engineer, David holds a Ph.D. from the University of Southern California where his research focused on applying differentiable physics and machine learning to complex robotic manipulation tasks. Funded as a NASA Space Technology Research Fellow, he worked at JPL on the Europa Lander concept mission and published in collaboration with Google Deepmind. Prior to founding Azalea Robotics, he was at Google X on the Everyday Robots project and at Microsoft.
