Ben has over a decade of executive experience in aviation. Prior to starting Opfyx, Ben spent 12 years at British Airways and IAG and most recently served on BA’s Management Committee as the interim Chief Operating Officer where he was responsible for leading a management and unionized team of over 5,000 people and had full oversight over the entire multi-billion expenditure on operations. Prior to his role as interim COO, Ben was the Chief Transformation Officer, with responsibility for developing and influencing a multi-billion revenue and cost transformation plan that was predominantly technology driven. Ben has held several other positions at British Airways that have provided him a deep and intricate understanding of how an airline operates, including as Director of Global Operations (Operations Control), and Head of Heathrow Terminal 3. This unique skillset gives Ben an advantage of understanding both business requirements and technology. Ben holds a Masters of Engineering (Aerospace) from the University of Cambridge and is a qualified pilot.
