Kelly Zabriskie, MLS, BS, CIC, FAPIC, serves as the Enterprise Vice President of Infection Prevention (IP) for Jefferson Health in Philadelphia, overseeing 18 hospitals, 5 urgent care centers, and numerous outpatient practices. Ms. Zabriskie has been with Jefferson Health since 2016, initially as the Director at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, before assuming her current role in January 2020. An active participant in her local APIC chapter, Kelly has held various positions, including President of the Philadelphia-Delaware Valley APIC chapter, Chapter Legislative Representative, and is currently the President-elect. She is also the Vice Chair-elect of the Public Policy Committee for National APIC. Beyond APIC, she is a member of the Healthcare Associated Infections (HAI) Advisory Panel for the Pennsylvania Patient Safety Authority, serves on the board of the Healthcare Laundry Accreditations Council (HLAC), and is on the Clinical Advisory Board for HR Pharmaceuticals, Inc. During the COVID-19 outbreak, Kelly received the inaugural Jefferson Health Faegre Drinker Healthcare Hero Award for her tireless efforts. In 2021, she was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Science from Thomas Jefferson University in recognition of her leadership and dedication to Jefferson Health and the University during the pandemic. She led the IP component of Jefferson's involvement in Pennsylvania's Regional Response Health Collaboration Program, a $34 million initiative that provided safety services to over 300 Long Term Care and Personal Care Homes in the Reading and Philadelphia regions. Additionally, Kelly contributed valuable insights globally through a partnership with Aramark to develop an application aiding businesses and institutions in navigating the challenges of COVID-19.
