Ahmad Naguib, Former Chief Executive Officer Equant, Independent

Ahmad started his career in 1984, when he joined SITA (Societe Internationale de Telecommunications Aeronautiques) as a system & network controller. In 1987, he was promoted to Chief of Network Center, responsible for the day-to-day network operations of Cairo center. In 1990, Ahmad became the Network Area Manager for SITA/Equant JV, Middle-East and North Africa (MENA) region, responsible for controlling and securing the service delivery and quality in the region, before becoming the JV country manager in Egypt 1997. In 2001, he became the Head of Global Customer Services Center (GCSC) in Cairo, responsible for the customer services and operations for MENA and Southern Europe Regions. He contributed in establishing the Major Service Center (MSC) in Cairo, leading the Service Operations team to consolidate the different customer support functions from Europe and North America to Cairo, for the enterprise sector. In 2006, he became the CEO for Orange labs in Cairo, responsible for setting-up the R&D center and launching its activities, before moving back to Orange Business late 2008 as Site Leader and CEO, Equant Egypt SAE. Naguib holds an MBA, ESC Rennes School of Business and BSc Engineering, Cairo University. Aged 59, married with 2 children, speaking French, English and Arabic (mother tongue).
