Emma Davies, Head of Human Resources, Alec

Working in the construction industry for 17 years, Emma has extensive experience in the industry and the Human Resources field.
From 2000-2008, Emma worked in the UK in the construction and rail industries prior to moving to the UAE in 2008 to expand her career in HR and construction.
From 2008-2012 Emma worked as Head of Learning and development and Communications for a large PLC in the MENA region, during this time Emma used her skill set to develop the Employee engagement process and also management of the brand. Emma’s major achievement was roll out of a Health and Safety programme for all operatives during this time and implementation of a learning and development programme for high potential candidates. 
Emma joined ALEC in 2012 to further her career in the HR Manager role, previously specialising in Employee Engagement and Learning and Development. ALEC started in the UAE in 1999 and has since grown from a small company to a US$ 1 Billion/ year turnover in less than 10 years. ALEC currently employs 12,700 employees and currently operates in UAE, Qatar and Oman.
ALEC has also diversified into related businesses that provides the ability to successfully execute complex jobs by utilising these in-house capabilities. ALEMCO is an electromechanical services business; ALEC FITOUT specialise in fit out and refurbishments and ALEC Precast are our specialists in civil and architectural precast.
Emma is married to Rob, and they have 5 children. Managing the demanding role of Group Head of HR and being a mother comes naturally to Emma.
