Russell was running as soon as he could walk, and has been fixated on a soccer ball ever since. With a degree in Communications from the University at Buffalo in tow, he developed his marketing and digital expertise through a regional role at a digital agency, and worked with brands like Cebu Pacific Air, Honda, Disney, Columbia Pictures and J.CO Donuts. Seizing the opportunity of the 2014 World Cup, he creatively helped Cebu Pacific announce direct flights to Japan through a campaign that generated digital support for the “Blue Samurais”. At OPPO, he raised the brand profile of a relatively unknown brand to establish it as 3rd in the local market, through creative campaigns and activations such as Neon Lights 2016. He helped to localise and bring out the best of the Global Partnership with FC Barcelona, and made the move to the best league in the world- LaLiga.
