As the Technical Director for Mass Transit (ANZ), Simon supports our clients to define, develop and deliver effective mass transit solutions. With significant credentials in the management and delivery of large infrastructure projects, developed through over 25 years working on large international transport infrastructure projects, Simon has a particular focus on public transport and transport decarbonisation projects. He has a wealth of experience in bus rapid transit systems and is sought after for his leadership roles over the full spectrum of the project lifecycle across the Australia and New Zealand region. He has led a range of significant projects that have implemented or improved BRT systems such as the Brisbane Metro BRT system which is implementing 25m long biarticulated zero-emissions high-capacity battery electric vehicles and the Sunshine Coast Rapid Transit project which analysed LRT and BRT modes for investment decision making. On both projects, Simon was the Technical Advisor to Government, supported by a team of key expertise. Simon has also led implementation phase projects such as the Eastern Busway Alliance, a NZ$1.4bn new urban busway in Auckland, New Zealand.
