Drew Brandy, Director, Land Mobility, OneWeb The global land mobility market is perhaps one of the most diverse and fascinating spaces within the satellite landscape. While connected technologies are at the forefront of the world’s response to the challenges of population growth, efficiency, and sustainability, only 20% of the globe is covered by terrestrial cellular networks, meaning many of the key areas of operations are in remote and hereto unconnected locations. OneWeb’s low-latency, high-speed, global space-based connectivity is a game-changer for industries across the sector, providing more immediate and consistent access to data for critical decision-making automation, real-time analytics and tracking, and IoT applications. Based out of London, Drew Brandy, OneWeb’s Director, Land Mobility is responsible for setting and executing OneWeb’s land mobility portfolio strategy. He brings considerable experience having worked with several large telecom operators in business and corporate strategy in both North America and Europe and more recently at Inmarsat, latterly as Senior VP Maritime. Brandy holds an Honours Degree in Sociology and Communications from York University, Canada and an MBA from Henley Management College.
