Tshepo Kgobe is a seasoned Senior Executive who is also a Certified Project Management Professional and Multidisciplinary Engineer with more than 18 years of extensive experience in managing complex projects, programmes and operations with diverse technical requirements, in Infrastructure, Energy and Mining. Tshepo has also held diverse positions that are not related to engineering including BBBEE, Transformation and Corporate Social investment.
Tshepo is currently the Senior Executive responsible for all Technical and Project services in Gautrain Management Agency (GMA). GMA is the agency that manages the Concession Agreement for the operation of the Gautrain on behalf of the Gauteng Province Government and is also responsible for the expansion and the extensions of the system.
Tshepo has in addition, his current role in GMA taken on the responsibility of managing the Integrated Fare Management Programme for the province of Gauteng. The programme entails the integration of all transport fare management systems in all the transport modes, the development of all smart mobility services, the integration of all transport related information services into a single transport management center including related intelligent transport systems. Tshepo also has experience as an Executive Director, before joining the GMA he serve on the board of Hatch Africa from 2010 to May 2014, with the responsibility for Business Development, BBBEE, Transformation and Supplier Development. Tshepo joined Hatch as an NEC Project manager for the Sishen Iron ore rail line expansion as part of the Transnet Capital expansion Programme. The rail expansion Programme included the extension of 20 rail passing loops, the construction of the new Salkor yard in Saldanha and the repositioning of loop 7 to create a new loop 7A and the coordination of the rail signaling project over an area that linearly covered more than 800km.
Tshepo was responsible for the engineering and project management of the track-work subsystem in the Gautrain Rapid Rail Link project (Gautrain). This comprised of the total budget and scope subsystem and its integration to all the respective
