As Head of the Trade Section in the Consulate General of Canada in Atlanta, Georges Lemieux’s job is to help Canadian companies to do business in the region covered by the Consulate of Canada in Atlanta: Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi, North and South Carolina. Doing business covers export sales, investment, licensing, joint ventures, global value chains, etc. Trade Commissioner Services (TCS) also promote investment into Canada from his territory. Priority sectors at the Consulate of Canada in Atlanta are aerospace, defence and security, cleantech, infrastructure, lifescience and information and communications technology. Trade Commissioner Services assist local companies planning to invest in Canada or current investors to expand their operations in Canada. TCS also support Canadian investors in the South East USA;  help local US companies to source in Canada and introduce Canadian vendors to large buyers, and connect innovative US and Canadian companies, organizations, entrepreneurs and SME's together.
