Douglas King, Director- Transportation & Drop Ship, QVC

Douglas King was named Director- Transportation & Drop Ship at QVC and leads QVC in the strategy, design, and execution of QVC’s Supply Chain network.   In directing the transportation, delivery and returns of over 120 million packages annually, he oversees one of the largest Business-to-Consumer Truckload, LTL, and Parcel delivery networks in the United States.  King is also responsible for the partnerships and performance of Domestic and International transportation in directing Ocean, Air, Freight Forwarding, Customs Clearance, and Truckload and LTL with QVC.  He serves on the Board of Directors with the Parcel Shippers Association and is a member of the Strategic Supply Chain Council with the National Retail Federation.  
Previously with QVC, King served as Manager of Outbound Logistics since 2007, where he drove Domestic and Global expansion with industry-leading innovations and technologies.  King joined QVC in 2002 as Senior Project Manager, Supply Chain.  He introduced QVC’s first-ever Transportation Management System, and ushered the company through the organizational and business change required to modernize its Supply Chain systems and processes.
Before joining QVC, King was the Manager of Northeast Logistics for LMS Logistics in Reading PA, where he led Third-Party Supply Chain and Logistics engagements Supply Chain and Logistics engagements with a number of Fortune 500 clients.  Prior to that, he held Operations Management and Sales positions with Roadway Express, Inc in Ohio and Pennsylvania.

King is a graduate of Hiram College in Hiram, Ohio with Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Resource Management.
