Abir Thakurta is the Vice President of Global Supply Chain at Havertys, a 130 year old established furniture and home furnishing retailer where he oversees Planning & Forecasting, Sourcing, Supplier and Factory Management, Inventory Management, Customs and Compliance, Logistics & Transportation and Supply Chain Risk Management. He brings 18 years of experience in cross-industry supply chain strategy and operational design with a track record of implementing performance improvement programs with retailers worldwide. Abir has an Masters in Supply Chain Management from New Jersey Institute of Technology.  He has completed the Executive Management Program at Georgia Tech and is a recognized author and speaker within the supply chain industry. Abir has lived, studied and worked on 4 continents but has made Atlanta his home for the last 15 years along with his wife and two boys.
