Austin is an urban planner and data strategist working to improve mobility options for all. Combining experience in technology startups and municipal government, Austin believes that civic innovation works best when the public and private sectors collaborate, communicate, and share insights. During his time working for the City of Los Angeles and Los Angeles County, Austin advocated for environmental justice in mobility planning, contributed to the LA County Climate Action Plan, and mapped LA's underrepresented populations in preparation for the 2020 Census. Austin currently works as a Senior Solutions Engineer at TransLoc, where he is helping transit providers across the US adapt and evolve to meet the challenges presented by Covid-19.
