Valentin Velichkov | CEO

Valentin Velichkov is CEO of Vestitel since 2017. He has previously served as CFO of the company for the previous 3 years. Valentin is also a Board Member in the Bulgarian Society for Electronic Communications.
In his career he has held various management positions from Chief Accountant, CFO and CEO in the car rental, international transportation and real estates industries.
He has a strong vision and passion for driving innovation and growth in the smart utilities sector, leveraging his expertise in Ethernet, DWDM λ, IP services, Dark Fibre, Colocation, Telecom ducts, Internet, Optical connection, and IP VPN.
Since 2019 he has expanded his focus on deploying LoRaWAN networks across the Balkans and CIS countries and currently is globally recognized as one of the leaders in the smart gas over LoRaWAN.  Nowadays, Valentin is running the Balkans Digital Gateway project aming to interconnect Black sea and Aegean sea and establish the South North Digital corridor, connecting the Medeterrenian with Scandinavia through Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine, Poland and the Baltics. 
Valentin Velichkov holds a master's degree in Accounting and Financial Control.
