Elizabeth Rivera Hartling leads Meta’s Global Subsea Engineering team, responsible for designing & building one of the highest capacity subsea cable networks in the world. Elizabeth studied Electrical Engineering at Queen’s University, in Kingston, Canada, before joining Nortel (later Ciena). Elizabeth has been designing and executing coherent solutions on subsea cables ever since, executing some of the very first subsea industry 40G and 100G coherent deployments.
