Safeguarding Global Connectivity

With 95% of global data traffic and trillions of dollars in financial transactions flowing through submarine cables every second of every day - protecting subsea infrastructure, is no longer a fringe concern but a real and growing threat to the global economy.

Whilst many incidents are the result of unintentional accidents, the risk of deliberate sabotage and military action is increasingly on the radar of cable owners/operators, governments and military organisations. A successful attack could trigger catastrophic economic disruption and a crisis from national to a global scale.

Every day the international press is awash with headlines such as:

  • ‘UK Unprepared for Attacks on Subsea Fibre Cables’
  • Japan set to make subsea cables a national security issue
  • Internet access in Middle East and Asia disrupted after 'undersea cables cut’
  • Risk of undersea cable attacks backed by Russia and China likely to rise

Reflecting the growing risk and subsequent growing awareness of subsea networks in the public eye, now is the time for a dedicated industry-specific event that brings together all the key components to tackle any cable crisis.

With a unique offering of the global subsea telecoms industry being joined by national and regional government entities, along with military and defence specialists from across the world  Subsea Security World Summit & Expo  will run alongside Submarine Networks World 2026.

Located at the same venue, in the same overall event space – SNW x SSW presents a unique subsea experience waiting for you here in Singapore in September.
