nihito is an ETH Zürich spin-off helping operators of complex vehicle depots - fleets of 10+ vehicles, from waste management and logistics to municipal fleets - navigate the path to electrification.

The software optimizes vehicles, charging infrastructure, on-site solar (PV), battery storage (BESS), and operations as one integrated system. A core part of that is determining the right size and role for PV and BESS at each site: the planner models real tour and load profiles to size storage and solar to what a depot actually needs, and gives operators an honest, model-based answer on whether - and how much - BESS and PV genuinely pay off for their operation, rather than assuming they're always the right investment.

Our orchestrator product then executes that strategy live, automatically and in real time, dispatching energy across the fleet, charging infrastructure, PV, and storage as disruptions occur. This gives fleet operators an economically viable path to faster electrification even under grid constraints.
