Bernard Hah is the Founder and Managing Director of Reactive Energy Sdn Bhd, established in 2020 with a focus on delivering advanced power quality and digital electrification solutions across low voltage to medium voltage systems (up to 33kV). With over 10 years of experience in power quality, automation, medium - high voltage and digital substation, Bernard is a technical expert in system integration covering controls, automation, and networking infrastructure within modern electrical power systems. His work focuses on integrating software-driven intelligence into electrical infrastructure to enhance system reliability, efficiency, and performance.  Under his leadership, Reactive Energy specializes in resolving critical power quality challenges within Malaysia’s industrial and utility sectors. The company actively collaborates with factories and Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) to address issues related to power quality, system stability, and energy security within the national distribution network. He has extensive experience in diagnosing and solving complex electrical problems such as low power factor, harmonics distortion, voltage swell and dips, and load imbalance. His technical expertise spans a wide range of advanced power quality solutions including shunt capacitors, shunt reactors, fault current limiters, harmonic filters, STATCOM, SVC, battery energy storage systems, voltage stabilizers, and digital substation monitoring platforms such as Power SCADA and RTU systems. Pioneer in Malaysia's BESS industry, Reactive Energy is the first BESS system integrator in Malaysia collaborating with top brands such as BYD & EVE with inhouse develop system, hardward (PCS + BMS) and software (EMS) architecture. Reactive is currently the major EPC for TNB Electron project under Plus Highway.  Prior to founding Reactive Energy, he also led regional sales and marketing initiatives across the Asia-Pacific region, focusing on power quality technologies and energy storage solutions. Today, he continues to drive Reactive Energy’s strategic growth in key sectors including power quality engineering, battery energy storage systems (BESS), EV charging infrastructure, and smart grid technologies. Through a strong combination of engineering expertise and industry leadership, Bernard is committed to advancing resilient, intelligent, and sustainable electrical infrastructure for the future energy landscape.
