Syed Ahmad Faiz is a CEO-level leader with over 25 years of experience across the automotive value chain, spanning premium luxury vehicles to next-generation electric and micro-mobility ecosystems across Southeast Asia and the Middle East. He brings a distinctive blend of commercial scale, brand building, and future mobility transformation, positioning organisations at the intersection of traditional automotive excellence and sustainable innovation. He began his leadership journey in the premium automotive segment as CEO of BMW FM Autohaus and Group CEO of Falida Motor, where he built and scaled multi-brand luxury platforms including BMW, MINI, Motorrad, and Rolls-Royce—driving consistent growth, expanding dealership networks, and elevating customer experience standards in high-value markets. Building on this foundation, Syed Faiz transitioned into electric mobility and ecosystem development, becoming an early mover in EV, particularly in electric two- and three-wheelers. At Yinson Greentech (rydeEV), he contributed to the deployment of battery swapping infrastructure, charging networks, and fleet electrification programmes, supporting Malaysia’s EV adoption. Currently Chief Business Officer at Bateriku, he is leading the transformation of the automotive aftermarket into a circular, future-ready platform. He oversees a multi-entity ecosystem spanning nationwide roadside assistance, workshop networks, battery certification (SIRIM), recycling and recovery (Briged Hijau), and talent development (Akademi Bateriku). Under his leadership, Bateriku has evolved into an integrated mobility and energy solutions platform, processing up to 70,000 batteries monthly while ensuring quality, compliance, and sustainability across the lifecycle. He has also spearheaded new EV verticals including charging infrastructure (EPCC), second-life battery initiatives, and micro-mobility programmes, while expanding B2B partnerships with key automotive and logistics players. Faiz is recognised for integrating legacy automotive businesses with emerging mobility solutions, delivering commercially viable, future-facing platforms aligned with energy transition priorities.
