The first-ever Solar AI Hackathon in Egypt took place on 11–12 August 2026 at the Egypt International Exhibition Center in Cairo, as a key feature of Solar & Storage Live Egypt 2026.

The Solar AI Hackathon brings together developers, innovators and energy professionals to tackle real-world challenges facing Egypt’s energy sector using artificial intelligence.
Participants collaborate to develop innovative, technology-driven solutions, with the most promising ideas recognised and celebrated live at Solar & Storage Live Egypt.
Created and delivered by ACG, you'll be able to join the ACG team on the expo floor as the winning teams are announced and showcased.

The Solar AI Hackathon is powered by ACG – Abdin's Consultancy Group, the official AI partner, alongside strategic contributions from MSMEDA (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency) and the MENA Observatory on Responsible AI.
Core Focus
The Hackathon connects startups and SMEs with industry expertise to develop practical artificial intelligence applications for the clean energy sector, focusing on areas including predictive maintenance, energy optimisation, smart monitoring and sustainability reporting.
Final Presentations
The programme will culminate at Solar & Storage Live Egypt 2027, where participants will have the opportunity to pitch their AI solutions to an expert judging panel, showcase their ideas and demonstrate how AI can help address real-world challenges across the energy sector.
Returning to Solar & Storage Live Egypt 2027
The Solar AI Hackathon will return next April at Solar & Storage Live Egypt 2027 to bring the energy industry together once again at the Egypt International Exhibition Center in New Cairo.
