Victoria Cuming, Head of Policy - Europe, Middle East & Africa, Bloomberg

Victoria heads up the EMEA Policy team and leads most of BNEF’s analysis of the power markets in the Middle East and Africa. In addition to our half-yearly Market Outlooks, recent one-off research has analyzed how to mitigate risk for renewables projects in emerging markets, the merits (or not) of local content requirements in clean energy policy, South Africa’s energy strategy, MENA renewables auctions and the power market in Egypt. Before joining BNEF in 2009, Victoria spent four years as an editor working with the European Commission and Parliament in Brussels; and for an economics consultancy in Oxford. She holds two Master’s degrees from the University of Cambridge, and another Master’s from the University of Durham.
