Dina is a Sustainability Expert with over 14 years of corporate and NGO/Government experience. She, graduated with a chemical engineering degree from Baghdad, Iraq and continued her education in the United States, where she obtained a degree in Sustainability Management from Columbia University and an MBA in International Business from Fairleigh Dickinson University.  Dina is a LEED Accredited professional (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) and has worked on a number of LEED projects both in the Middle East and the North America regions.
Prior to Joining EXPO, Dina worked as a Manager with Ernst & Young’s Climate Change and Sustainability Services. She has worked on a number of projects, focusing on strategy development and implementation frameworks for a wide array of clients.  She managed project focusing on sustainability, energy management, smart grid strategy transformation social governance, energy investment strategies and corporate social responsibility.   Clients included the ADNOC Group Companies, ADWEA, DEWA, King Saud University, UNEP, Dubai Municipality, MAFP and many others.
Dina has volunteered as a mentor for the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women and was an Adjunct Professor of Macro, Micro Economics and International Business Marketing in the Tri-State Area.  
As Head of Sustainability Operations at Expo 2020 she leads the development and implementation of Expo 2020 Dubai’s sustainable event management strategy and GRI Reporting initiative as well as assist in integrating Sustainability into the main operations of the Expo 2020, so as to ensure that Sustainability is in-built into the foundation of all current and future operations. She is currently working on a number of initiatives including on-site and off-site renewable energy projects, sustainable development planning for event and legacy, stakeholder engagement, market engagement, and communications & awareness campaigns focused on expanding the sustainable impact of the Expo beyond the boundaries of the physical site.
