Simon leads Formbay's growing Data, Analytics and Modelling function, with a remit spanning machine learning, market forecasting, and reporting across Formbay's operations and broader industry trends. He also oversees the modernisation of Formbay's data infrastructure, ensuring the company can continue to support clients driving Australia's clean energy transition. Before joining Formbay, Simon led an internal Data and AI Consultancy team at one of the United Kingdom's leading financial services firms, working with Front Office desks across asset classes, trading strategies and company engagement — particularly in the context of carbon accounting frameworks. His work there included building an AI investment research tool and defining the data strategy behind a new centralised data platform. Earlier in his career, Simon built and deployed AI models for a leading European retailer, advised on AI strategy for the world's largest insurance marketplace, and led digital transformations in the public sector. Outside of work, Simon enjoys running and the gym — both of which he does so he can eat more.
