Deidre Willmott AM   Deidre Willmott is Strategic Advisor in the Global Sustainability and External Affairs team at Fortescue. She is working on decarbonisation of Fortescue’s Pilbara mining operations and the development of a green iron industry with a focus on the policy environment and barriers such as fossil fuel subsidies.     Previous roles include CEO of the Chamber of Commerce & Industry of Western Australia, Director External Affairs at Fortescue and chief of staff to the WA Premier. She is a graduate in law from UWA and the University of Melbourne. In January 2026 she was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia for significant service to business and the Parliament of Western Australia.
