Daniel Bleakley is the co-founder and co-CEO of New Energy Transport (NET), an Australian company pioneering the transition to zero-emission heavy road freight. Daniel is leading one of the nation’s most ambitious clean-transport infrastructure programs: the development of a vertically integrated, high-powered electric trucking network beginning with NET’s flagship Wilton Electric Freight Depot—a 5 MW, solar-powered, battery-backed logistics hub designed to demonstrate that electric heavy transport can outperform diesel on cost, productivity, reliability and emissions. With a background spanning engineering, climate advocacy and politics, Daniel brings a uniquely multidisciplinary approach to solving freight decarbonisation. NET is working closely with road freight industry partners, government agencies, and the clean tech sector to deliver a commercially viable zero-emission freight model that can scale nationally. NET has secured support from leading clean tech investors and is engaged with local, state and federal government.
