Siya is a linancial technologty leader currentlty heading up product for the Blockchain team at FirstRand Group. Before that he was Head of Product at the leading South African stockbroker - Peresec. His primary background is working in product and digital strategy capacities within global markets (Equities, Derivatives, FX, Money Markets, Algos etc) having worked with Peresys and IRESS between 2008 and 2016, and in the FX/FX Derivative and Money Markets areas, where he headed up the Global Markets Digital Channels practice, within Standard Bank’s Corporate & Investment Banking arm. He also co-founded QuarteReturn Capital, where is remains co-CIO of it's crypto asset and special situation active investments portfolio. A University of Cape Town B.Comm. Information Systems undergrad, with an MBA from the UCT Graduate School of Business - he's also a fellow of the Africa Leadership Initiative Young Leaders (ALI-YL) program.
