Candy Ngula, Deputy Director For Payments, Bank of Namibia

As the Deputy Director for Oversight and Policy Research in the Payments and Settlement Systems Department at the Bank of Namibia (the Bank), Candy plays a key role in providing policy guidance to stakeholders of the National Payment System, as well as developing regulatory frameworks that have a direct impact on the development and performance of the payments ecosystem and the financial sector at large.

Candy’s former career in the consulting industry was focused on Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC), and this focus on GRC continues in her current role as a regulator. She has been a part of and managed projects covering a broad spectrum of business and information technology competencies, particularly within IT Governance including Project Management and Co-ordination, BCM (Business Continuity Management), Operational Risk Management, IT Strategy, IT Auditing etc.
