US$14.3 billion has been poured into the Philippine Highway Network Program and US$33 billion into the Inter-Island linkages & Mega Bridge Program.
The Philippines has also embarked on a variety of urban transportation projects including the construction of integrated terminal exchanges, intermodal transport systems, bus rapid transits, greenways, implementation of transport information & management centers, intelligent transport projects, electric vehicles, Motor Vehicle Inspection System (MVIS) as well as the Public Utility Vehicle Modenisation Program (PUVMP).
