14 & 15 October 2026
International Convention Centre, Sydney
Roads & Traffic AU is the must attend event for the highways and road infrastructure sector in Australia. As part of the global Highways event series, including our flagship Highways UK, one of the world’s leading road construction events. It is the place for market knowledge, innovation and new business, for the entire value-chain.
Through visionary conference content and an immersive exhibition, Roads and Traffic AU will showcase the materials, systems and solutions transforming how Australia designs, procures and delivers its road networks.
Co-located with MOVE AU and EV Charge Live Australia, Roads and Traffic AU forms the nation’s most comprehensive future mobility and energy event, bringing together the organisations shaping transport, infrastructure and sustainability.
Leveraging the highly successful UK show, Roads and Traffic AU aims to deliver a show that better aligns with the industry in Australia, providing a better experience for all stakeholders across the road infrastructure ecosystem.
Road infrastructure investment is still a major issue for the Commonwealth and State governments of Australia. The pipeline of major road projects over the next four years (2022 – 26) is significant:
• Commonwealth government: expect to invest $40-50 billion in road projects over the next four years.
• NSW: estimated to spend $32-35 billion. Key projects include Sydney Gateway and WestConnex.
• Victoria: approximately $20 billion. Key projects include North East Link and West Gate Tunnel.
• Queensland: estimating $20 billion spend on road infrastructure. Key projects are the Bruce Highway Upgrade and the M1 Pacific Motorway.
• Western Australia: estimating $8-10 billion. Key projects are Tonkin Highway Extension and the Mitchell Freeway Expansion.
• SA, Tasmania, ACT and NT: combined estimate of $3.8-5 billion.
Australia is undergoing a major transformation in transport and infrastructure, with road and mobility projects playing a critical role. The NSW Government alone is investing
$72.3 billion over four years
into transport infrastructure — including road upgrades, metro expansions, and tunnel developments — making up over
60% of its total capital expenditure
. With the Commonwealth Government allocating
$40–50 billion nationally
toward road infrastructure, and billions more committed across VIC, QLD, WA, and the rest of Australia, now is the time to position your brand in this growing market.
This large-scale investment across the country combined with the innovation/disruption impacting the public transport sector in the form of electric vehicles, micro mobility, CAVs and the requirement to decarbonise creates a rich visitor and exhibitor community in need of new ideas and new solutions.
The industry needs to work together to become smarter, greener, more efficient, and soon, as we all know what the stakes are. That’s precisely why we need Roads & Traffic AU.
We’ve been sparking ideas, innovations and relationships that transform busines for over 30 years. Using our global footprint we bring innovators, disruptors and change agents together: discussing and demonstrating the technology, strategies and personalities that are changing the way the world does business.
