Claude Sauter is a Swiss national with more than 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry. He relocated to Thailand in 1997, where he managed several properties in Phuket. Since 2021, he has served as General Manager of The Slate Phuket. A graduate of the Hotel Management School of Geneva, Claude also holds a Master’s degree in Revenue and Financial Management from Cornell University in New York. The Slate Phuket stands as an avant-garde sanctuary, seamlessly weaving the island’s vibrant culture and traditions into bold, imaginative design under the creative direction of architect Bill Bensley. Set across 25 acres, the resort transforms industrial heritage into art, where nature meets a whimsical world inspired by Phuket’s tin-mining past and the Na-Ranong family legacy, expressed through meticulous detail and fearless innovation.
