Yasodai is a top ten finalist for the Varkey Foundation's $1million  Global Teacher Prize. She was recently awarded an Honorary Fellowship from Western Sydney University for a "sustained and significant contribution to Education in Western Sydney".  In 2018, Yasodai was 1 of 12 Educators recognised with an Australian Schools Plus and Commonwealth Bank Teaching Award.  In 2017, Yasodai was recognised as one of 30 rising stars under the age of 35 in Australian education by The Educator Australia magazine.  Yasodai is currently studying post-graduate studies in Education Research part-time at Deakin University. She is a proud member of the executive of the Australian Curriculum Studies Association.
