Glenn Beaumont, Deputy Principal, Queensland Virtual STEM Academy

Currently completing his RHD exploring adolescent curiosity in learning science, Glenn has nearly 30 years’ experience in education. He has taught across the primary and secondary sector in metropolitan, regional and distance education settings.  Roles in these schools have included teacher, Science and Technology Head of Department and both Deputy and Principal of Middle years. He has a passion for STEM, having a Science degree and post graduate qualifications in Education, Educational Technology and Science Education. He currently works with a team of schools coordinating the delivery of STEM enrichment programs to highly capable students across Queensland to challenge students and inspire a passion for STEM.
