Annette Rome, Principal, St Margaret's School

Prior roles include senior leadership roles at Lauriston, MLC, Korowa, Carey, and Wesley College. She was coordinator of the CSE International Education, and CSE Indigenous Education Focus Group and an adjunct lecturer at MGSE. She led the pilot Council of International Schools (CIS) Project on Global Citizenship at MLC and has been a CIS School Reviewer. She also sits on the Board for Principal Certification (ACER), and played a major role in the establishment of a process for the identification of Exemplary teachers at MLC. Awards include the IB Jeff Thompson Research Award, 2018 Educators Hot List and 2019 Knowledge Review Top 10 Influential Educators in Australia. She is an active member of NFPs including the JMB Foundation, ACE, ACEL and previously The Songroom.
Her passion in education is for the development of young people so that they may become the best they can be - true citizens of the world.
