Ako Djaf is a German national who holds a Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering with Business Administration from Westphalian University, Germany. Ako brings more than 25 years of experience in the logistics and supply chain industry. He spent over two decades with DB Schenker, where he held numerous senior leadership roles across Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. From 2012 to 2025, he served as Vice President Contract Logistics for the Middle East & Africa region, leading large-scale logistics and distribution operations and shaping the company’s strategic direction across the region. During his tenure at DB Schenker, Ako was a member of the Global Logistics Steering Committee and served on the DB Schenker Middle East & Africa Board of Directors, contributing to the company’s regional growth and transformation. In November 2025, Ako joined Iron Mountain as Managing Director for the MENAT & APAC regions, where he is responsible for driving business growth, expanding the company’s footprint, and strengthening its leadership position across both regions.
