Selika Josiah Talbott is the Founder and CEO of Autonomous Vehicle Consulting, LLC., and a leading industry voice for investment and implementation of New Mobility. Talbott is a thought leader for the adoption of Connected, Autonomous, Shared and Electric vehicles and an Adjunct Professor at the University of Southern California teaching Transportation Technology and the Future of Mobility. She is an Executive in Residence at Los Angeles Clean Tech Incubator and the Vice President of the Los Angeles Board of Transportation Commissioners and a Board Member of the Advance Air Mobility Institute. Talbott is the author of Sammie and Sally Move Around Town, and Sammie and Sally’s EV Adventure, a book series educating children on new forms of mobility and traditional safety messages. Her consulting practice centers around the application of technology in transportation, autonomous vehicles, robot delivery and clean tech. Talbott has extensively published in Forbes.com and is considered a go-to expert media source as well as a highly sought-after speaker. She has spoken globally from Germany to France to Kazakhstan and more then 30 states on transportation, clean-tech, leadership and safety principles. Talbott has had a Distinguished career in public service at the federal, state, and local levels, many in appointed positions. She served as a Senior Advisor at the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration and Deputy Administrator (Chief Operating Officer) of the State of New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission annually bringing in $1.4 billion in revenue from government services and has held policy positions in County Public Commissions. As an attorney she practiced product liability defense, represented franchises, taught continuing legal education and authored several papers on insurance and product liability defense. Talbott has a J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law, a B.A from SUNY Stony Brook with a Political Science Major, and a Minor in Socio-legal studies. She also holds Certifications in Executive Leadership from American University and Diversity Equity and Inclusion from Cornell University and Corporate Board Readiness from Santa Clara University.
