Pamela Fletcher is CEO of Sion Power, the leading developer of high-energy lithium-metal rechargeable battery technology. She is focused on accelerating the commercialization of the company’s Licerion® lithium-metal technology. This technology promises to disrupt conventional lithium-ion technology in cost and energy with drop-in technology and accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles. Before joining Sion, Pam was appointed Delta Air Lines' first chief sustainability officer. She developed the aviation industry's leading sustainability strategy, focusing on reducing Delta’s climate impact and embedding eco-friendly practices throughout the company. She launched the Delta Sustainable Skies Lab and formed strategic partnerships with companies like Joby Aviation. Pam spent more than 25 years at General Motors in a variety of positions. Most recently, she led the Global Innovation function, creating high-growth businesses and opening new markets. She spearheaded the launch of BrightDrop, which is set to reach $1B in revenue - faster than any new venture. Pam also restructured GM Defense and launched OnStar Insurance. As GM vice president of Global Electric Vehicle Programs, Pam managed all global electric and autonomous vehicle initiatives, leading the launch of all-electric vehicles and advancing autonomous driving technologies with Cruise Automation. Earlier, she led teams responsible for the Chevrolet Volt and Bolt EV, achieving market leadership and industry accolades. Pam serves on the board of directors for Lumentum Holdings and The Chemours Company and advises the College of Engineering at the University of North Carolina, Charlotte. She holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Wayne State University, a bachelor’s degree from Kettering University, and has completed executive programs at Harvard, Stanford, and Northwestern.
